In this blog I will be discussing a number of topics, all of which relate to my professional interest: the teaching and learning of deal lawyering skills. I practiced law at two big New York firms for 22 years, doing transactions. For the last ten years I have taught what I learned in practice, to lawyers, law students and the occasional nonlawyer, and have learned a great deal about learning and teaching in the process.
Expect to see the following specific topics discussed:
- Practice tips for deal lawyers
- Thoughts on how to teach practical deal skills
- What law schools are doing wrong (and right) in teaching practice skills
- Law firm training and professional development
I would love to hear your thoughts / reactions / comments / questions / two cents on any of my posts. Please share them.
